My name is Maxine Fielding, and I am an animal lover — I love everything with a heartbeat.

For as long as I can remember, I'd dreamed of looking after an Afghan Hound. After moving to Australia in 2019 with my lurcher Vinyl, I signed up to every Afghan Hound rescue I could find. On the day my husband Olly got his permanent residency, my darling girl Blondie came up for adoption. It was love at first sight.

In 2025, we opened LOVEDOG in her honour: a luxury lifestyle brand celebrating the relationship between people and their dogs. We couldn't find the products we wanted to buy for our own hounds, so we built the boutique we wished existed — beautiful retail, beautiful products, and a genuine destination for dog lovers, not just another pet shop.

From the moment our doors opened on Crown Street, Surry Hills, we've been lucky enough to welcome dog lovers, owners and keepers of every kind — large and small, young and old, bought and rescued. Every person and every animal who walks in gets greeted exactly the same way: welcome to LOVEDOG.
